We source and procure all of our products – from our seafood products to our packaging – from partners who share our sense of responsibility for the environment and our attitude towards sustainable practices.
Aquaculture
Our seafood is sourced through Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) Certified organizations that demonstrate an ongoing and ethical approach to seafood farming and who participate regularly in activities that give back to the natural resources from which our products are drawn.
Packaging
Our primary packaging producer hold high ethical standards and actively participate in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) that assures best practices in environmentalism and sustainability. Cedar Bay boxboard packaging is made from 100% recycled materials and is printed with environmentally safe and recyclable inks and finishes.
Manufacturing
The Cedar Bay manufacturing facility in Nova Scotia holds an AA Certification with BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance of Global Standards). BRCGS is a trade association that monitors best practices for food and manufacturing industries worldwide. The exceptionally high standards and rigorous auditing process held by BRCGS make our AA rating a particular point of pride for the entire team at Cedar Bay.
